Sophie has always had an intrigue for film.  Her parents documented her entire childhood via photo & film.  Her “first” film was for a grade 6 project in French class, which became a theme throughout her schooling years, creating at least one project film per year.

She began professionally exploring film primarily in projection material for her choreographic endeavors. In 2021, she made her first dance film, as a commission from the Festival of Recorded Movement, which snow-balled into her current library.  She most often collaborates with the talented multidisciplinary media artist: Vitantonio Spinelli.
